{Rice Mill} Cotton Candy

{Rice Mill} Cotton Candy

Tori & Ben got married August 5, 2011. Photos are courtesy of the uber talented Juliet Elizabeth Photography. Isn’t Tori a knockout? 😉

White Bouquet, Rice Mill

Tori’s hand-tied bridal bouquet had white coco hydrangea with nestlings of white gardenias, white garden roses, pink/white double lisianthus and Vera Wang Pink Ranunculus. It was tuxedo wrapped in ivory double faced satin ribbon secured with pearl pins. (Hair & Make-up by: Gregory Garrett- Seven Doors Salon)

Soft Pink Bouquets

The maids hand-tied bouquets were cotton candy pink hydrangea with pink garden roses, pink bouvardia and pink/white double lisisanthus. The stems were wrapped in pink satin. They contrasted softly against the slate grey dresses.

The wedding was held at St. Luke’s Chapel on the MUSC campus in downtown Charleston. We hung wreaths on the chapel doors. The grapevine wreaths were adorned with magnolia leaves, pink garden roses, pink and white stock, white hydrangea and of course cotton bolls. It was the perfect Lowcountry Wedding wreath!

The boutonnieres were made from cotton bowls and embellished with pink waxflower, gardenia foliage and tied with an ivory satin ribbon.

Milk Glass Cake Stand, Pink White Flowers & Cotton

The reception was held at the Historic Rice Mill Building on the Charleston Harbour. For Tori’s centerpieces we used a variety of white (milk glass) pedestal candy dishes and cake stands. The flowers were repeated from the bridal party bouquets and church wreaths and also incorporated pink astilbe for some fun texture.

Cotton Branch Decor

We placed cotton bolls and branches along with votive candles throughout the venue give it a soft & romantic yet fun feel.

The couple departs with a traditional petal toss. Everyone had an amazing time! Too much fun maybe, I’m inside calling more Black Cabs. Lots more…
