Palmetto Roses (Charleston Love Roses) often mistakingly called Sweetgrass Roses are made of the fronds of the Palmetto Tree. They are a perfect addition to your Charleston Wedding. They can be used as boutonnieres, favors and nestled into your bridal bouquet or maids florals as seen here. You can usually find youth selling them around Downtown. If you have some time on your hands they could be a great DIY project.

Tradition says that during the Civil War, Palmetto Roses were given to confederate soldiers as symbol of everlasting love to keep them safe.
